Peptide concentration calculator

Calculate peptide solution concentration in mg/mL and laboratory sample volume in mL or µL, with clear units and a worked example.

LABORATORY TOOL

Peptide concentration calculator.

Calculate solution concentration and the volume needed for a specified laboratory sample.

  • Milligram and microgram unit conversion
  • Clear concentration and sample-volume results
  • Input checks for zero and out-of-range values

For laboratory calculations only. This tool does not recommend a solvent, experimental concentration or administration amount.

Concentration2.50 mg/mL
Sample volume0.100 mL
Sample volume100.0 µL

Concentration = mass ÷ final volume. Sample volume = sample mass ÷ concentration. Use the actual final volume, not an assumed solvent addition.

Worked laboratory example

A 5 mg sample brought to a final volume of 2 mL has a concentration of 2.5 mg/mL. A 250 µg analytical sample corresponds to 0.1 mL, or 100 µL, of that solution.

Use the right inputs

Use final solution volume and the applicable material amount. Purity and net peptide content are different attributes; this calculator does not apply an assay correction. It does not select a solvent, establish stability or specify a protocol.
